We have a 1992 BMW 525i station wagon without its factory roof-rack. There's nothing at all in the slots on the roof right now--orig roof rack was removed or never installed. Looking for a roof rack that will fit in these roof rack slots. Any ideas? Will any 5 series rack work? Which year 5-series?
general 525i wagon Q I'm the one who needs a roof rack for my '92 525i wagon. I've heard that these wagons are rare in the US. Is that right? Could it be this wagon was a factory drive-away or special order? I don't know much about BMW history but they are great cars. My other car is a 1988 325iC, gold/champagne color with black cloth roof! It's a fun car.
