Hello . I’m considering an 06 convertible at my local Acura dealer. 95000 miles, smg. Are 04 to 06 cars subject to rod bearing failure? No references to sub frame or bearing failure on CARFAX. Can buy for 11500 really want it but the rod bearing thing scares me. Btw it comes with a 12 month 12000 mile warranty. Advice?

BMW had a recall for the bearing to be changed on some of the M3's. Since then they have not really been a issue. Only time I see a issues with when some one does heavy modification to the engine. Subframe was a class action lawsuit so if the owner didn't take the vehicle in it did not get done. Easy to check just need to remove the back bolts for the subframe and look for cracks.
