Does anyone know how to remove the front headrests on a 2010 535i? I have two toddlers who love to kick the back of the front seat when riding in their forward facing child seats. The seatback protector I purchased has two grommets that go around the headrest posts. In order to do this I need to remove the headrest, place the grommet around the hole, and then reinstall the headrests. The owners manual directs you to go to the dealer (and likely pay). Anyone know how the technician would remove the headrest?

I remember reading it's tied into the SRS system somehow, I remember Bavarian Autosport had to stop carrying custom fit seat covers for newer BMWs because you can't remove the headrest

I'd imagine this isn't the answer you were looking for but I'd take it to the dealer, you don't want to mess with the SRS system
