My rear wiper & washer both went out at the same time. Where should I look first? I checked the fuse, no problem there. I pulled apart the interior of the hatch and found two broken wires, a large red one and a very thin blue/black one. I patched both of them and I am nervous about the continued open/close cycle and the repair. This has not repaired the problem. I am trying to put a test light on the wires but there must be a cut-off when the hatch is open. I tried trying to fake the car out by shutting the piston on the lock but still no power to either of the once-broken wires. Any other likely places?
