This is wonderful. We have not been to Mid Ohio since attending a CART race back in 2001. I fondly remember walking down pit lane with Beverly and when I reached over to take her hand, it turned out to be Michael Andretti... she had stopped to tie her shoe.

Thanks. I wasn't sure, since you can't do HPDE without a full cage. So, just to be clear, a stock, no welded in rollbar of any kind E93 (convertible) can do the autocross? I don't have a 'vert, but a good friend does and this might be my chance to get him to Mid Ohio and into BMWCCA.

    Thanks!

Autocross follow a different set of minimum standards. You can run a convertible or retractable hardtop along with X series.

Is it safe to assume there will be food, drink (Spaten tent?) and plenty of socializing, along with the "vendor area" at Mid-Ohio all week? Or is it basically going to be driving at the track and socializing at the Hilton?

Keep an eye on the schedule.
As things get confirmed it will be updated.
But yes, Spatan will be back. Vendors will be at the hotel Mon/Tues and move to the track Wed.
Gymkhana is currently to be held very close to the hotel.

Are non-associate/members permitted to spectate at driving events? We have in-laws in the area who'd like to stop by.

Depends if you like your in-laws. :)
If you like them, sure. Spectators whether they are members or not are welcome.
We just ask for them to sign our insurance waivers at registration or the gate to obtain an Ofest wristband.

They're car people; they're cool.

Another, hopefully not dumb, question: Are SUVs permitted in the Car Control Clinic?

My wife's daily driver is a Ford Escape, so we thought it would make sense for her to drive that (if permitted) for the Car Control Clinic.

I've been told we don't have any restrictions on SUVs. Sign her up.
