I'm starting to compile parts to redo my exhaust. Headers back. I found a great deal on a high flow, dual in single out catalytic converter. It has a bung for 1 post cat sensor. I'm wondering if the wires could be combined? So the single post cat would read for both?

Of course the headers have independent pre cat, so no issue there.

I can get this Cat at scrap price, so if it'll work it's the simplest way to avoid a CEL I can think of.

Not sure if this would work because of the combined voltages effecting the reading. You could have a exhaust shop weld another o2 sensor bung in if you looking for the cheap route. Also there are engine softwares that can turn off the cat monitoring so you can run without the sensors if you want.
