It would be nice to have a place in the User Profile for location (City, State) and have it show near the avatar on posts. It's useful to meet people in your area and offer help to locals.
Of course, what would be even more useful for meeting up with folks in your local area would be a couple of regional specific forums!!! But I like the location next to the Avatar too. Most of the other forums have features like that.
