Knocking noise in rear end 95 M3

I hear a loud knock mostly on the rear drivers side when I turn and/or turn up inclines. The vehicle has been lowered and has an aftermarket Corsa exhaust.

Dealer feels it may be the exhaust hitting the frame.

If it happens every time you turn I'd say its something in the differential.

Does it happen when you let off the clutch. Are you feeling a metallic "thunk"?
