Does anyone know about their iPod wire not working? I had BMW put in an approved aftermarket IPod wire and there were some problems initially but it worked for a year.

Now The radio does not even acknowledge that the iPod wire is installed or an iPod is connected. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Have you recently upgraded the iPod OS? It's possible that upgrading the OS on an iPod Touch or iPhone would result in your headunit no longer recognizing the device. This seemed to happen to a lot of people when they upgraded to OS 3.1 and again for some when they went to the newer 4.x. You may want to check with the manuf of the interface device to see if there's a firmware upgrade to that which would take care of your problem.

Is it the AUX wire or a system like the DICE? Sometimes the DICE requires the battery to be disconnected and units reset.

Is this problem similar to the (unspecified) problems you had when it was first installed? If so, have you reviewed/repeated the installation steps that resolved those problems? Have you contacted the manufacturer of the iPod kit for assistance?
