I just got my 1986 325es back from having new seals & mounts installed on my 5-speed transmission, a new clutch, new power steering reservoir & hoses, new brake pads & rotors and a Conforti performance chip upgrade. Now I have a new problem, my idle speeds bounce between 500+- to 1200+-, which never happened before. It seems this happens mostly at cold start-up but I have noticed it throughout the day sometimes.

I have read that this could be my vacuum hoses and by just looking at my hoses (not knowing exactly which ones are the vacuum hoses) they all look brand new. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up some cleaner to spray on the hoses to see if any are leaking but I wanted to see what you guys think... It seems the more I repair/upgrade the more problems pop up.

Hey, things happen. Sounds like the idle control valve needs cleaning or replacing. You get to replace the idle control module (in the glove box), too.
