I bought this the other day...for use in one of my demonstration gardens teching children that gardening is fun. I couldn't bring myself to actually put my little 2002 Hot Wheels in the garden. It'd get too dirty.
The full list of Hot Wheels 2015 line has been released, and looks like there are 3 BMW's to look forward to for the year - Blue E36 M3 Race, BMW K1300 R (different color of last year's black & orange iterations) & a new casting, the M4. Sorry, no pics for the bike yet - the blue E36 hopefully will be on the shelves before too long. The blue E36 M3 Race follows the earlier two versions, the first was white, the 2nd red - (will get in some pics eventually). The Matchbox blue 1M's are out now - inexplicably, they're labeled M1, apparently at BMW's request. Still, good color, they look nice!
Today's the Day! Little Mikey's Baby Bee is all wrapped up & ready to Go! Merry Christmas Mikey, enjoy your first Ultimate Driving Machine...
At 10 months old, he thinks we just gave him a colossal push car... Gotta give him credit, he's already a subscriber to the "Push, Pull, or get out of the Way" theory of life. BTW, this car has a full remote control drive option, but he prefers the manual drive method. Good practice for that training sled & two a days.
Well, still overdue to get up some more recent pics - the blue E36 M3 Race Hot Wheels has been out for a little while now, and just out lately is the black version with the same deco. Blue 1M's have also been out, and a red one is coming, probably anytime within the next couple months. The blue M4 has also been out for awhile, if Hot Wheels is consistent, we'll see that in other colors eventually. Still waiting for the K1300R for this year. This blog has some Matchbox BMW highlights, including pics of the Polizei M5, looks good! http://lamleydlm.blogspot.com/2015/05/first-look-latest-color-of-matchbox-bmw.html?m=0 pics from the Lamley Group blog -
The Lamley Group blog just did a nice write-up on the spate of BMW's that have come out of Mattel in recent years, link below. Both blue & black colors of the E36 M3 Race have come & gone, but can occasionally still be found on store pegs, at least around here. Same for blue 1M's (labeled M1's by BMW's request), although they seem to have all been snagged off pegs by now. Red 1M's are just out around here, and sometime in coming months the Polizei M5 and Heritage Series 2002 should appear. Still waiting on the motorcycle, no idea when the gold M4's will hit shelves. Turn About is fair play & today Little Mikey took a big step forward & took his turn at Grampa's Bee. Yes, the horn works & the radio too, just like your Baby Bee.
