Hood emblem E60

2005 545i. what is the best way to replace the hood emblem on 2005 E60? Looks like you have to remove the hood latch to get under it?

I think the roundel attaches to the hood with a press-fit peg and hole configuration. Use some sort of soft tool (plastic/nylon/silicon) than you can pry the roundel up from the edge. You might be able to verify by looking at a replacement part to see what is on the back side of the roundel.

Eric's right. They just pry off. Always have.

Use an old credit card to slip under the roundel. With the CC protecting the paint then pry up with a screw driver or something. Just be careful not to damage the paint!!!!!

I use a couple of those little precision screwdrivers and cover the paint with a rag
