I have a 99 Z3 2.8 and it has a little hesitation when you take off from a stop. I have changed the plugs and fuel fitler and air filter any other suggestions that may help or any Ideas of what the problem is. I had read some where that the oxygen senser could do this does anyone know anything about that.

    Thanks

    Hello.

With Z3's.. I've seen everything from a loose spark plug, a poorly designed channel for rain/wash water causing it to drop in on the engine cover-rolling down and off-and fill up the spark plug chamber causing the coil spark to ground out, to (notoriously-for your car) faulty coil packs... or a dirty Idle Control Valve (cleanable and under the manifold). I would start with these things and see what you find.

Please keep us updated and Good Luck!

You might also want to consider removing and cleaning your engine's MAF, particularly if you're using a reusable oil-impregnated filter.
