I was curious if anyone has flat towed (using a towbar) an e30, and if so what were the mounting points you used and what other precautions did you take? Thanks.
i have an 84 318i that i flat towed a couple of times. i have one of those reese hitch tow bars[ that can be broken down for storage],i drilled holes in the bumper to mount the attaching hardware[since the bumper is alum get some liquid electrical tape to coat the iside of the mounting holes ] i use my 86 535 to tow and i havent really gone over 40 miles at one time[just down to the glen and back].my car is a standard so i leave it out of gear for an auto disconnect the driveshaft or risk losing the trans.wish youluck.
