The garage door opener on a recently acquired 2018 X5 is now working only intermittently. Sometimes up, sometimes down. This is somewhat surprising considering it worked perfectly after the original programing. The handheld remote supplied by the door manufacturer operates without issue. I'm thinking it may be a signaling issue within the mirror/remote (?). Has anyone else seen this before ?
Ah! I recently got my first BMW, a 2017 230i X, and learned how to program the opener. I noticed it didn't work until I get pretty close, closer than my partner's Lexus. I, too, have satellite which sounds like it may be the problem, altho her Lexus also has satellite and operates from over 2 carlengths away. At least it works but now I have a clue as to where ot look if it gives problems.
