Hello out there. Looking for OEM fogs for my 89 535i manuf 11/88. Like the original look but after polishing both there are still too many chips in the Hellas. Also, this 535i has been run on Valvoline 20w50 Turbo for the past 194,000 miles in California and I just changed to Royal Purple 10w40 - location is MA. Good idea - bad idea?? Any recommends or experience appreciated. Frank
You can buy replacement lenses. They're about $50 a side at autohausaz. As for the oil, I think you'll be OK. I've been running 5w40 Mobil Delvac 1 and 0w-40 Mobil 1 in my 540i for years. (I'm in Wisconsin)
Buy the lens and change them, that is what I did much cheaper and they are perfect now. I have always run Mobile 1. I had to change out the VC gaskets last month and boy is everything in there pretty and clean. This is in Phoenix AZ and I'm running the mobile 1 for high mileage now.
