Mechanic has removed seats and cannot get problem to happen ... he drove it and knows they slide but cannot determine cause ... ordered some bushings from BMW but they seemed designed to raise seat height and do not appear to have anything to do w seating slipping. If you haven't found the answer to this common problem do a search on u-tube for z3 seat fix, it's a 2 part video. repair bushings can be purchased thru Roadster Solutions or from the man that developed the fix, check him out at whalenshiftmachine.com
