My 2006 325i is telling me that my hood is open when clearly it's not, also my alarm goes off and the trunk of the car opens, this has happened on three ocassions. It's in the shop now but any advice on the cause/issue of the problem. Thanks
could be the sensor that detects whether the hood is open or not is broken, I think that would also cause your car alarm to go off
It is a very common failure item on the E46, E39, etc. Have that switch cheked. Dunno about the trunk thing.
