I have a 2001 x5, 4.4 with about 80k miles. I has been running great - no problems, no codes. This morning, in a hotel parking lot a hundred miles from the nearest dealer, it refused to start. It cranks just fine…but won't fire. It hasn't thrown any codes that appear on my peak research code reader. I'm going back to it in the morning armed with a cam position sensor and maybe a crank sensor, but don't know what else I should look for. [/font] I checked the fuses, jiggled all of the connections I could reach, etc, all to no avail. It was cooler than usual this morning (<40 F). I'd love not to have to flatbed it to a dealer. Any Ideas?
