I have an '01 330ci conv. I was resetting the service interval after an oil change the other day and had the key in the run position instead of the accessory position. I'm not sure what I did, but now my average mileage is showing 5.9 , was 29.4 before. Although I have driven about 500 miles since then, it is unchanged. The car runs fine and shows no problems. Can someone tell me what I have done and how to reverse it. Also does anyone know what other info is available this way and how to access it? How do you reset the average speed and mileage? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
To reset your avg mpg and mph, select mph/mpg then press and holding the stalk button until it resets to zero. I'd start there. It possible you changes the mpg ratio but not likely.
