I have a 2001 540i w/65k miles that has a deteriorating windsheild seal. It certainly seems premature since the car is garaged and the rear window seal is fine. I have read all of the posts that I can find on BMWCCA as well as other websites. Some say it's very simple, just don't use anything metal to avoid breaking the windshield. Others make it sound difficult to get the seal in straight and some even mention W/S replacement which seems a bit extreme. I'm just searching for more information before I start the job. Thanks in advance for your input.
