Has anyone rebuilt an e36 m3 outer cv joint and not reused the metal "dust cap" that is just under the boot? The primary purpose of it in my opinion is to keep from exceeding the angle at which it all falls apart during install. Once installed it should be fine. Does anyone have any experience with this?
