All, Looks like something needs to be replaced inside my E34 525i driver side door panel. The problem has gotten progressively worse. I noticed it when the window would not go all of the way up - stopped about 3/4 inch from the top seal and now it stops about 3 inches from the top. The motor sounds the same - no other strange sounds. Can someone tell me what this can be? Thanks, Tom
Could be any of a number of things. Maybe the stop bolt is loose and backed out. Maybe the track lacks lubrication. Maybe something else is loose inside and is blocking it. You have to take it apart to see.
