My 2004 545i with 90,000 mi. developed a significant leak from an pipe interior to the engine which entails a 35 hr. job on the engine and about $700 in parts. Does anyone know anything about this. It is hard for me to believe that this could be anything but a monufacturing defect. Irv
water pipe that failure was common on 02 and 03 745s, same motor, call bmws gripe line, they might help out. The job takes that long because it requires engine removal and the heads come off, but some shops know how to sneak the pipe out in less time, if you pay 35 hours make darn sure they did it the hard way
