This dash warning light kept coming on and my BMW mechanic told me I needed to replace the "K3 Brake Light Relay". We replaced the relay and the warning light stayed off for about 2 days and came back on again. We replaced the relay again. And again it came back on. One very nice person on this Forum suggested I needed to replace the Brake Light / Stop Light Switch. There are evidently two types of switches, Mechanical and Electrical. I ordered the mechanical switch and replaced the original switch. I drove about two miles and the Brake LT Circuit warning light on the dash came back on again. Anyone have any suggestions? Should I have chosen the Electrical Switch instead of the Mechanical Switch?
