The August Roundel mentioned a site (http://tinyurl.com) which supposedly lists all the BMW model designations (e.g., E46) but when I tried it, it said "access denied" and asked me to Log In with my club credentials, but when I entered those it just returned me to same "access denied" page. Does anyone know where I can get such a listing?
    Thanks!

That's a great reference. Would you have a similar listing for BMW engine models installed in those cars? Specifically, I'm trying to determine the designation for the motor in my 2013 F12 M6? Is it an N63? A bit concerned about the "N63 customer care package (CCP)", and if it applies to my M6.

Also, it seems like most Wikipedia pages for various BMW chassis also list the various engines used across the globe, which can lead you to the wiki page for at least that particular type of BMW engine. If you're unsure of your engine code, I think a vin-checker would show that - http://bimmer.work/
