I saw a DIY on making a backing soda sandblaster using an air compressor and a flexible hose. Can't find the link. Since I need to remove a valve cover this is a good excuse to by an air compressor and clean off the backed on cosmoline.
Look at the ScatBlast website for some interesting options. Probably also JCWhitney. Not sure if Baking Soda is strong enough---maybe there's somebody around there with a bead blast cabinet you can borrow the use of? Griot's Garage? I know you are just looking to make a siphon device to blast with soda, but I don't know that part. I know that our local Chinese Embassy [Harbor Freight] has really inexpensive sand blasters, too. Good luck, Terry
I figured I could use the baking soda outside and not worry about it. I was going to hit Harbor Freight this weekend for some picks. I'll take a look. Thanks.
Heh. I can envision a visit from the HOA Police if I were to start soda-blasting parts in the driveway...
