How would I go about changing the air filter on a 2006 330i sedan? I am used to the air box having clips that can be popped off so that the air filters can be easily changed. I don't see that on this car.

    Thanks

If you look closely you will see in fact that the housing on your 330i does in fact have clips, although some of them are a little bit of a pain.

Well... on mine a 2006 E90 330i The housing has many screws around it holding it together, no clips... I had to pull the whole housing out and then unscrew it to replace the filter. It wasn't hard at all. BUT! Be very careful reassembling it! It is very easy to strip the screws!

This is a image like mine from realoem.com They are very helpful with parts and diagrams.
Number 6 are the screws I am talking about.

With all of this information I wonder how it went?

I haven't had a chance to try it. The car was at the dealer for other issues- radio, hand brake, airbag, ticking noise at 6k rpm. I just got it back. I'll keep you posted when I get around to it.

    Thanks
