All new parts - water pump, thermostat and housing, "O" ring. Have tried 4 times and cannot get a seal. Any suggestions? Thanks so much. Bob Young (ragnuoy@yahoo.com)
First of all, what's leaking? Pin it down---pressure testing, getting a mirror and light to help. Then once you know what is leaking, address the leak. Dirt, corrosion, damaged seals, etc---it will be something along those lines.
Also make sure the sealing surfaces on the engine are not pitted I have ran into this on some of the older cars.
