Greetings to all: I;'m new to the club but am the owner of my second 325. Trying to troubleshoot the cause of my 325 with 285K miles not starting unless I get it jumped off. When I turn the key in the ignition, there is no noise! Notta! As soon as I jump the battery off it will start right up. The car will start up again once I turn it off, but when I return hours later, the car will not start and again not make a sound. Before I replace the battery don't know it's age, are there other possible causes? Thanks for your feedback, V in Rich VA..
Sounds exactly like the problem my brother had with his 320i. One of the wires going to his starter was almost completely seperated. We replaced the wire and he had no more problems with starting. So, check all your starter wires and see if you have any problems with the wires or their connections being corroded. Good luck! Kirk
