2005 X5 recently displayed fault code P0301 - misfire cylinder 1. Many components could cause this, i.e. spark plug, coil, burnt/bent valve.... Anyone have experience what typically causes this code?
Normally if it's only one cylinder then it would most likely be a coil or spark plug. You can swap these to a different cylinder and see if the fault follows to figure out which one it is.
