3 or 4 times one of the window has gotten stuck. How hard is this to fix? What is the flaw and can we put a better part in?
E46 Window Regulators are definitely a weak spot. Fix is install a new regulator. I've not heard that BMW ever redesigned the part.
I seen write ups where the regulator is zip tied to the carrier to improve grab and prolong its life.
The design flaw is the window regulator. I am one of the lucky ones, I had my front passenger window go berserk for a while, but then it fixed itself. My driver side one finally went kaput at 7.5 years, 111,000 miles. There are some folks who have had 8 or 9 changed. To my knowledge, BMW has not redesigned them, which is dumb!
