    Hi Rob
I enjoy your writing, great stuff.
When the car is started and approaching normal operating temperture there is a loss of power, it seems like a vapor lock.. The car never stalls, and as I pump the gas pedal the car resumes it normal operation. This is an occasional problem. What do you think is going on?

Thanks for your kind comments on my writing. When was the fuel filter last changed? Have you checked the fuel pressure? Those are the two places I would start. The classic symptom of a clogged fuel filter is the car losing power, or even feeling like it's running out of gas. When you shut off the car and let it sit for a while, the crap falls off the fuel screen and it runs okay for a while until it piles up again. Low fuel pressure from the pump itself or the fuel pressure regulator can also have similar symptoms.
