hello all, can anyone out there tell me if there is a way to get the track names to show up the radio display. i have cd's w/ mp3 tracks on them and the only thing that shows on the display is track # 1,2,3, etc........ is there any way to get the name of the song to show on the display? i have used the same cd's in other radio systems(factory) and the name of the song shows up on the display. thanx in advance for your help.............
ID3 tags? I don't know, but I know what I would check first. Do you know that the tracks have ID3 tags? Do you know which version of ID3 tags they have? I can tell you that tags produced by iTunes and tags from Amazon MP3 purchases all work in my 2008 stereo (both on MP3 CDs and on USB sticks). I doubt ID3 tags are the issue. His E46 is recent enough to not have that problem of ID3 version compatibility... Unless BMW slacked off with their CD system!
