Greetings, I have a 1991 318is with a limited slip diff, 4.10:1 gear ratio, rebuilt under previous ownership. It's making a noticeable loud whining noise at high speeds believed to be caused by excessive gear lash. There is also up-and-down play coming from inside the differential where the axle and differential meet. I'm in South Florida and was wondering if anyone knows of a repair shop that can fix or rebuild differentials anywhere in the state. Thanks in advance.
I don't but hit up the Florida chapter websites for local chapter contacts/area officers to email, &/or any local chapter social media where you could post questions. Many chapters have facebook groups where you can do that. Good luck!
