Gentle Restoration of 535is

    I bought a 1988 535is on the cheap because it had been sitting in storage for three years. Have the complete service history and for the most part this is a very solid car. Some minor hail damage. some suspension work. But it still is a heck of a car.

    I've always loved that car! Post some pictures when you get a chance, would love to see the before, during and after shots!

    I will post the before pic's in the next couple days after I figure out how to post photos. I haven't got much done to the appearance, but have started on the mechanical aspect. I have been taking photos of the old and new parts as they come off and go on as a photo diary. and tracking the costs.

    Contratulations on the find. I am doing the same for the 635 we picked up in March. My advice is to create a timeline and budget. I have found myself getting ahead of myself and spending too much on parts and not enough on food. Just another sign of the disease...
