    Hello,

I need to get the key duplicated on my '87 325is. I read sometime ago on one of these BMW forums how to do this . Anyone have the answer?

I don't know what the old

I don't know what the old forums may have said, but if you want a BMW key, I'd think the dealer should be able to do it. Presumably you'll need your vin, registration, and ID.

Otherwise, I think E30 keys could be duplicated with the right blank on a standard key cutter.

The dealership will give you a key code...then make you go to a shop to get your new keys cut.

Had my key for my 88 cut at the local True Value Hardware store, no problem.
