Is there a chip available for the 2008 E92 328 Coupe? I've checked with Dinan and they do not make one. Suggestions?
Modern BMWs don't have "chips". The ECU's memory is integrated into it; you need to "re-flash" it. Having said that, I have not seen any chip (that doesn't require substantial engine modifications to go along with it) that gives you more than 5-10 HP in the modern N52 engines.
The N52 engine is already tuned very well from BMW thus a lot of tuning companies don't try to tune it further. But some do mess with the throttle response to make it feel sportier. A good intake and free flow exhaust will do more then a DME flash would. Here is a good tuner for this engine. http://burgertuning.com/BMS_Power_Box.html
Swap to the 3 Stage intake manifold sourced from an N52B30 (High Output). Then Active Autowerk DME programing to properly activate the DISA valve. Should net you 25-30 HP. That's as good as it gets.
