I recently paid about $450 to have a side window shade repaired. I would appreciate information on doing this myself. What is the retract mechanism? It seems to be some spring-loaded tensioner. The mesh screens are in good shape. My problem is that there is no longer any tension on them--they just flop down. Thanks for any advice.
