2002 540i 6 speed. I have noticed a metal 'clunk' noise (don't know how else to describe it) when I put car in 1st gear and engage the clutch. Not very loud, but noticeable when standing next to the car. The sound occurs as I engage the gear only, and that it, no further noise. This has been going on for several months, not sure if this is just wear and tear. Any information or feedback is much appreciated. Thanks, Alan
