I have a 2007 X5. After going to the car wash, I seem to have permanent water marks on the trim. The car wash I go to dries the cars in the shade under a canopy or inside when it's cold. So, the X5 is completely dry when I leave. Yet water marks seemed to have formed during the washing process and I can't get them out. The car wash manager has tried to remove them and can't. The BMW dealer says don't go to that car wash and they have never seen that problem before. I think they are BSing me. I'm trying to see if anyone else having this problem with their X5 trim before I take this up another notch with BMW. If so, any solutions or suggestions?

You might try one of 'clay-bar' products. I know Griot's, Meguiars, and Mother's makes them.

I had the same problem. Now I use Meguire's Plastic Polish and Cleaner
