Let’s get the big three out of the way. VANOS, rod bearings, and subframe. In April 2024 I had a post purchase inspection at BMW of Raleigh (formerly Leith BMW). VANOS and subframe inspected; no issues found. To confirm no issues with the rod bearings I had a Blackstone Labs oil analysis completed, no issues noted.
