Description

Better pictures coming soon...

This E36 was my father's from 2006 until 2020 when I took ownership of it. He bought it as a bone stock 328i manual and over time we maintained it together and modified it to his liking which was basically to give it a bit of M3 flair via bolt-ons like M50 manifold, UUC exhaust, UUC short shifter, M3 suspension, and more. I also recently put some clean Vaders in it and it runs on MS3 Pro standalone engine management.

I have a spreadsheet which captures some of the parts we purchased over time for it. There are over $7k in modifications done to this car, and around $11k worth of parts (not including labor) which I tallied up just from the last 10 years. There is a stack of maintenance records as well which I still need to locate.

The car presents fairly cleanly aesthetically-speaking, but it has its fair share of dings, dents, and wear. The car lived close to the ocean in south Florida for many years so there's some surface rust here and there. Nothing like a northern car though. It's never seen salted roads. Other negatives are that it has a power steering leak that I haven't gotten around to addressing, and the sunroof panel needs recovering.

The best part about this car is the way it drives. I invested quite a bit into this car in 2022 so I could use it as a daily driver and it's been perfectly reliable ever since. At the time, I did the slave and master cylinders, rebuilt the entire clutch pedal setup with new, OEM parts, redid water pump and thermostat, etc. I also rebuilt the entire shifter mechanism including DSSR and the Garagistic selector rod joint, so it feels like new. The engine runs very strongly, and the suspension is solid. The car also has Bavsound speakers throughout with a great head unit which has android auto as well as apple carplay. AC blows cold and strong. I will be installing repaired A-pillar covers this week. Vanos was rebuilt not long ago, valve cover gasket was done at the same time of course.

I'm selling because I recently bought an M3 coupe, and now need to free up some garage space. I'm listing it here because I don't want to sell to just anyone... It should go to an enthusiast. It'd be great for a young enthusiast as a first car! I'm negotiable on price if you don't want the Vaders or don't want the standalone. Each of those would knock $800 or so off of the price. Clean title, no accidents. Please call or text to discuss!
