To launch their latest and greatest gumballs, Michelin assembled the troops in Palm Springs, and the troops this time were a collection of everything from journalists to fanboys, from monied Ferrari guys to basement wannabes who post their every moment on blogs. This mob is what they call influencers.

One of the niggling little repairs hanging over my head has been the need to fix the rocking driver's seat in the Z3 M coupe. It developed enough play in the sliders that when I hit the brakes, the seat would slide forward about a quarter of an inch, then slice back when I accelerated. It doesn't sound like much, but it was incredibly annoying.
