2003 E39 540i M Sport ~ 6 Speed Manual

If the ad is listed then the vehicle is still available. 2003 E39 540 M Sports were produced for the United States for one year only and during the last year of E39 production. The manual cars were sequential numbered unlike the automatics. This is # 563 out of 1,265 manual M Sports imported into the U.S. It is 1 of 197 Titanium Silver over Black leather produced. It was built on January 14, 2003. I am the second obsessive compulsive owner whom purchased the vehicle in late April of 2020 with 59k miles. Upon its arrival the entire cooling system was immediately replaced, which included the radiator, auxiliary fan, all hoses, thermostat, water pump, along with pulleys, and belts. Fresh BMW coolant mixed 50/50 with distilled water was applied as well. At the same time the upper rear control arms, front control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, and sway bar links were replaced. In the fall of 2020 the timing chain guides, timing chains, tensioners, VANO units (Dr. VANOS refurbished the original factory units) valley pan, spark plugs, coils, starter, and etc were preventively replaced. Given that the M62’s normal operating temperature is 230°F and having had heat cycled for over 17 years prior to our acquisition I felt it was best to address a known issue sooner rather than later. Only OE or Genuine BMW parts were used during replacement of factory parts. All factory parts that have been removed from the vehicle were retained as proof of replacement and will be included with the sale. In the Summer of 2021 the vehicle received a paint correction and ceramic coating. At the end of August 2021 new Genuine BMW M parallels with new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S were installed at 64,022 miles. The exterior condition is a 7.5/10 and the interior is a 8.5/10. The original owner’s service history, books, keys, and original window sticker are accounted for.
