My 96 Z3 Driver's Side Quarter Window has come loose from the upright support.

Is there an approved procedure for applying new adhesive to assure a good fix the first time!?? Can an autoglass place do it without any special specs?

    TIA,
    Phil

I'll reply to my own question here. I took the car to a local autoglass place. They looked at the problem and said they could remove the old adhesive/sealant with a razor blade and replace it with a butyl sealant from a caulking tube. 1 hour to cure while clamped and I could be on my way. $30 plus tax and it seems to be good as new. Definitely good to have someone that is familiar with the material and has solvents to clean the glass, etc.
