II have a 1998 Z3 with a 1.9 4 cyl, and 5 speed manual transmission. I have been looking for somewhere that tells me the capacities of the transmission, and rear end, and have not found one. Can anyone tell me what they are? I want to change the fluids, and don't know how much to purchase. I intend to use Redline. Any comments on this?? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply Rick. I think that my answer might be there, but I have been trying the spec. page for 2 0r 3 days now and it won't come up. I will keep trying.

    Thanks Again

    Gary,

Just use the information on the first page. Buy a couple of quarts of each type. The manual transmission has ~1.1 QT capacity (Dexron III) and the rear end has ~1.2 QT capacity (SAF-XO w/o limited slip or SAF-XLS with limited slip).

I would suggest that you also purchase the Bentley E36/7 Service Manual (Stock No. BZ98). It has all of the information that you need for servicing your Z3.

    :)

Thanks Again Rick. I have ordered the fluids, and did also order the manual.
