   I have a 2008 X5 4.8i. Recently the HUD turned into a bright glowing rectangle. I can move it up anddown but there is no change.
   
   Any ideas?

   Sounds like it lost the video signal you will have to see if the module is communicating. This may be something you wanna take to the shop to have looked at this can get complicated quickly.
