I have a 2002 X5 that stalls sometimes when I stop at an intersection. Does any one have any experience with this problem. I have not taken it to the dealer yet. Thanks
You could have all sorts of things going on that could cause this. My guess is that you also have a CEL to accompany this? If you are trying to avoid the dealer and many do outside of warranty there are pleanty of great shops out there independently owned. Try www.bimrs.org for one of these shops. I am going to take a stab at this but this is entirely a guess since I haven't seen the car, have no fault codes to work from and a very limite description of the problem. Cam sensors......they will/can make a BMW stall for no reason. There will be faults to support that. There could also be a vacumme leak, major leak, but that would cause other issues that would effect running and would also set faults.
