WUWT (Whats Up With This) When I start my 2001 E39 and the steering wheel comes down to greet you, I get a quick GRUNT, GRUNT, GRUNT noise. Can someone tell me what's going on and a possible cure (& cost)? Thanks in advance! Oh, by the way, I've had my car for a few months and REALLY love it!
Mine does this too... I think it's just something that needs lubrication. It does not sound like anything is binding or wearing out. I will be looking into the Bentely manual to see if there is a relatively easy way to access the mechanism for lubrication.
